head lights blowing fuse

I really haven't looked into this yet, but thought one of you might steer me in the right direction, besides the obvious, (bad motor or shorted wire) is this a common problem and if so what normally causes this?

no one has any ideas? It's not the headlight motors, it's not the dash rocker switch, only blows whenever the lights are turned on.

Which fuse? There are a couple different fuses involved.

a wire could be pinching in the headlight assembly rods...I had that problem...Also check the grounds for the headlight motors.

Well, after some troubleshooting and reading of the wiring diagrams, I checked just about everything, then, AHAH, between when the fuse started blowing and the last time the lights were turned on, the stock stereo was replaced, it turns out the stereo ground wire was touching the stock radio lighting panel wire. Problem fixed.
