Autozone can order one for you, or ebay generally has 4 or 5 listed at a time. Autozone charges $17ish and ebay is anywhere from $5-20.

The haynes is a good reference to have when you are outside working on the car. However the FSM links will have the best info and the info is free.

The question is, When he is out in the shop with his laptop and wants to make notes on the page he is on. Does he use whiteout or a sharpie on the screen? LOL.

Nah, just get a thing of paper and a couple printer cartridges, then print the FSM, take it to kinkos and have the bind it into a book for you and you're good to go .

That is, if you understand the FSM...It's gibberish to me right now.

Until I publish my peformance book you will have to settle for the Search function. There are no published books on what you are looking for. Thats why we have been answering the same questions for years in this section.

There was someone that just did a thread with his CAI on his Se that is one of the best I have ever seen.
But a CAI is not going to get you real HP gains.
There is also a thread on Nitrous in the Archives.
And I hope you were refeering to a 85 GSL-Se because a Gs does not have F.I.

huh??? you kinda have both? It's one or the other... carb or FI. I'm thinking it's probably more that you have a 13b in your FB. That doesn't mean it's FI, not only would it be a big project to convert a GS to run the GSL-SE fuel injection, it's counter productive. You'd be losing the benefit of the upgraded suspension, the LSD, the more preferable bolt pattern... etc. The point is that you have to understand that while we are all here to help, we don't have psychic abilities. So, with out pictures, or a detailed descrition it's hard for us to do so,and it can lead to you receiving bad information.

Also, as already mentioned, the search bar is your friend, there's a ton of information available if you look.

If you want power, do the intake(weber, holley) and exhaust. When the exhaust alone is done on the rotaries, a lot more power comes out.

I have a book called Mazda Rx-7 performance handbook. Its a great book, that covers all three 7 generations. It suggest what you should do for if your road racing, drag racing, street, etc. You can get it at a barnes and nobles Im pretty sure. I got mine as a gift, so not sure

Do you know if the '85 manual will be close enough for work on an '84 GSL? Specifically I am returning a car to stock that had all the pollution control removed and had racing beat carb and manifold installed.
