having trouble selling my 83, what is it worth?

I have my 83 s rx7 in the local paper and haven't really had any calls on it, wondering if im asking too much?

paper add:
MAZDA RX-7, 1983, 5 speed, new paint, new performance exhaust, runs well, very clean. $1395.
--------------------------------------------------
full details, not in add, will tell people when they come and look at car:

147k, repainted 1 year ago, had exterior as well as inside doors painted, original color was light blue now dark blue, broken gas gauge, driver's side door lock cylinder is messed up, on the the tranny bearing make noise on downshift from 3rd to 2nd. 1 year ago got 2 new high flow cats, new oem pipe and monzo muffler. New idler arm, every thing else works good, surface rust on suspension and rear end.

Clean black interior, carpet in front half almost looks new, new black/blue seat covers. Alum blue shift ****, blue/silver pedal covers.

Original rims with surface rust, now painted black have have hub caps over them, i think they look ok.

That includes rb header and a handfull of other mods

For the good appearance of yours I would go about 900-1000 tops

Sorry, amigo, but at 147 K miles, it could have a perfect body and a good interior and still only be worth $1000 tops. I place the range of $700 (no joke...) to $1100 (absolute tops...) on such a vehicle. It is all about that rotary. At 147K, it's got about a year left and then whomever buys it is looking at at least a $2200 engine bill right off the bat...

Mar3 I am sure your car doesn't have originaly 28,000 miles.
I'm sure it is a rebuilt motor which is allot different than original. I would take the money and run.
