have a problem...think its clutch

as i said i believe its the clutch...pretty sure.

it happens in all gears. it drives normal till i hit about 2500 rpm then the engine just revs and i get no power to the rear wheels.

the clutch need to be replaced? or is there just some reason why its not engauging completely?

thanks

Brad

Yup, time for a new clutch. Change it as soon as possible though. If the friction material wears down too much, the rivets will ruin your flywheel.

i agree with 85rotarypower!!!! 100%. if your rivets wear into your flywheel it is bad news and you may have to replace the flywheel instaed of resurfacing it. i wouldnt worry about it too much at this stage but fix it before your car refuses to move.

a slipping clutch will also burn your pressure plate requiring you to get it turned....

STOP DRIVING IT until you get the new clutch.

Don't worry about the pressure plate as you should replace it anyway, worry about your flywheel. It's a bastard to get off.
