has anyone painted your mirrors?

I recently repainted the brown mound but the body shop forgot to paint the mirrors. I had gone through enough hair pulling with the shop at the point that i had them remove it from the estimate and took my car back. so i still need to paint the mirrors.

they are faded and rough on top. i figure i would just sand them a bit and paint them. what kind of paint? SEM has a "trim black" which seemed like a good choice.

has anyone painted them before?

right on.

I've painted my mirrors red to match the body. Used SEM Trim Black on obviously, the trim... worked great on some old 626 Turbo wheels too.

I've painted mine using a rattle-can black semi-gloss lacquer from Lowe's.

SEM would be a good choice. I am very pleased with thier products. They have an interior color that is a very close match to the gray interior. Brought mine back to almost new with it.

Pick a matte color, you don't want a gloss on the mirrors. It could cause some sun glare in the eyes.

Has anyone used the SEM brown colors? I need to chose out a brown but can't tell which is an appropriate match from the color charts online.

Right on.

My paint supplier has the charts in stock, I have one somewhere around here. If I get a chance, I'll dig it and one of my turd parts out and compare.

That would be cool man...it's for the hatch area, so maybe you could take a look at one back of one of those panels there.

Right on.
