Has anybody done this swap?
I think www.turbofb.com has all your answers.
Right here.
Complete S4,then a S5 TII swap with trans, stock ECU and all smog gear intact.
Currently Im around 300HP at the crank and still 100% CA smog legal.
If by shaft you mean the driveline, then yes a custom driveline is needed.I would consider this a neccessity since you will be increasing engine torque a minimum of 100% over stock, and its really a drop in the bucket ($$-wise) during the entire swap.
If you have any general question,search....its all been covered a million times over.If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask...lots of us have done the swap......although not many have remained smog legal when doing it.
