Don't do it, go with an sterling carb or have someone that works on rotarys rebuild yours.
Ok guys, keep onlyonthur from making a huge mistake. Because if you buy from a place like
autozone your vehicle may only run on thur, lol. rx7doctor

Really, you're MUCH better off getting yours rebuilt by someone, or rebuilding it yourself

Yeah, for little more than the price of an Autozone carb you can have your carb completely overhauled and done by Rx7Carl and Sterling. Those guys are amazingly awesome with carbs.

Depending on if you have to pass an e-test or not, they can work absolute wonders with your carb which will reclaim lost hp, and even TOTALLY SURPASS the flow of the stock nikki.

Getting a stock one is only something I'd do if I was totally rich and wanted to have Sterling and Rx7Carl rebuild a brand new one Make it easier on them and have a "from the factory" rebuilt nikki.

I don't see how autozone could *possibly* have a bolt-on 4 barrel nikki for the FB available. It's probably a "similar" carb or a rebuilt one. I'm sure that Nikki stopped making them years ago, or if they were still being made, you'd have to get them for what Mazda's asking : $1200 each!

Actually we used to be able to get them at Advance Auto Parts, however the company we were using decided to get out of the business. The new rebuilders still do Nikki carbs, but only on an R&R basis. That pretty much sucks because the customer won't know how much it will cost until it is done.

Yeah, for $350, you get the fully tricked out Sterling Carb, which they claim is good for around 150 HP combined with a good exhaust setup and decent fuel pump/regulator
