hard decision

Well it was a hard decision,

My baby goes back under the knife next month.... The current wide body kit that is installed was done by a prior owner about 10 years ago, p[revious to me buying it it had a couple of minor bumps that had cracked the FRP in a couple of places, well recently a wonderful member of the military community here decided to back into my car, and he totally cracked the rear fender(s) (they were totally molded in so the impact cracked both sides.....

I was looking online for a wide body kit to swap off, or maybe the same items to remold back in, but the JSS kits are no longer available, So I emailed about half a dozen different locals in the states, and can you believe that none of them want my money? it seems incredible but of the 4 places I found, only Mariah was willing to deal with me do to my location.....I told all of them, just tell me the cost, including shipping and 3 of them got totally wishy washy and weak in the knees.

Well mariah just received my $2000 dollars by wire transfer and the parts will ship tommorrow, never really like the front gap (between the nose panel and the bumper) on the on the mariah kit, so I gues I will be remolding that to more resemble the original design, but at least the front fenders are one piece, and not mold on's (i hate the way mold on over fenders crack!)

I guess that this is a good time to sandblast the whole front end and dropp the TII rack and pinion in, maybe I can get off my lazy *** and do a photo shoot that will complement abeomid's write up with some details on the steering column and wiring....

wich me luck...

Oh and the new color is a Medium Mica Green metalic with 3% pearl looks like the subaru green but a little lighter.

Why did they have to do that to such a Beautiful car?
Well it does not seem that your too deterred from finishing your project so that's a good thing.

But im really sad to see that body kit go I really liked that one. Well good luck with the surgery, Ill make sure to send your 7 a get well card

I was originally planning on paying a shop to recast the front end and the rear also. They quoted me $4500 for the front, and had the money ready. When I went down to drop it off, they acted real stupid and started changing there story line, after dealing with one shop that did that (the wiring harness) that I will not deal with a shop that gets wishy washy after they have given me a quote, I just don't get the feeling that they are competent when they can't give a solid quote and stick to it.

I was trying to find a kit that looked like the JSS one, but couldn't find one, then I started looking at the ISC, but they started acting weird when I mentioned bank transfer, I am not sure if it was because of bank fraud, or what, but a simple query at their bank would have explained to them that the data I required to complete the transfer was standard, and safe.

I mean if they are advertising on the web, they should expect international orders that will require a wire transfer for payment from time to time....

at least mariah was fairly decisive, which tells me that they are either full of baloney, or rock solid..... I am hoping rock solid ....
