Happy with your clutch kit?
Im looking to ubgrade my clutch from stock soon, and just trying to see what works for who. My application will be for a NA 12A, maybe lightened flywheel in the future.
Now in the past, I had a ACT stage 3 (6 puck) on my old 12A stock flywheel. That thing ruled! Parallel parking sucked, but everything has tradeoffs. I was amazed to see how the price for that kit has climbed over the last 2 years.
Im learning to stay away from the Ebay clutches, Any reccomendations at a good value? Suggestions? Im thinking RB race pressure plate with street/strip disc to perserve the flywheel life a little longer

I've had a Centerforce Stage 2 clutch on my 7 for a couple of years now and I'm real happy with it. Got it from Mazdatrix if I remember right. I have a stock 12A, Dellorto carb, RE exhaust, 2GDFIS, and an 82 flywheel with it. Grabs really well but still has a smooth engagement at low rpms.

RX for fun

the problem with over the counter stuff is that you dont know exactly how many lbs the pressure plate is. If you go more than 3,000 lbs, that will make it too stiff. I get mine custom made at Action Clutch in East LA. They make the RB clutches (RB clutches with ferodo lining, RB supplies the lining to them). I recommend between 2500lbs to 3000 lbs. With my 2 RX-3s, I use 4puck and dual friction 3,000 lbs pressure plates. In fact, I like the 4puck more than the 6puck.
