HALP, rats nest removal!

K so I started my rats nest removal, following the tutorial. Now granted i may have not done something of this caliber before but I am pretty mechanical so here goes.

So everything was going smoothly, removed the nest and whatnot. Then when you are splicing hoses and t's and whatnot back together i ran into troubles.

I cannot for the life of me find the carb vent, Haynes wasnt helpful, neither was FSM. I am refering to the step where you connect The oil filler tube vent to the carb vent and t them to the "bottom of the valve"

So, Where is the carb vent and what are they refering to for the bottom of the vent.

Thats Question 1
Question 2.
I have an idea but i want someone to reinforce it. I have an 85 GSL but the a/c was removed so hooking up the ac solenoid and other vacuum hoses seems pointless. I can just cap the 2 hoses right...?

Please gimme an idea, went through a couple threads from searching but didnt really help me out

Thanks in advance
Jesse

Vent is just below the fuel hose inlets, don't confuse it with the sub-zero assist barb. If you're doing the full removal, the ac solenoids should be gone along with the rack, cap everything that's not in use.

big fitting just under and behind fuel return fitting, i believe. stand at the left front wheel, from that perspective it points towards you from left side (front of car).

EDIT: attachment: this one, yes? somebody confirm please

I run the small ones on the purge valve, thats not problem.

then i run the one from the oil filler pipe and the one shown in the picture and T them into the purge valve big opening?

I had taken them as 2 steps. thus why i was like wtf am i doing wrong. that makes so much more sense. i will retake a look sunday morn

thanks again

Flight Doc, that's it. The hose to the left of the fuel cut solenoid attaches.
