H.I.D. installed
here are some pics of my HID lights installed. These are real HID lights and not the H4/HID lookalike.
Wiring for the passenger side lights running along the strut tower
Heres the wires for the driver's side.
Heres are a few pictures I took at night. Notice that the driver side one looks yellowish. Thats because my dumbass forgot to wipe the bulb before I installed it and the oil left on it from when I was handling it started burning on the surface of the bulb. I have extras so I'll be changing that out.

They are bright as hell and the stock and hyper white bulbs don't even compare to these.

Get a road with cars parked down the edges, put your car in the lane as if you were driving down it and take a pic facing down the street away from your car please. (Much like Pics 2 and 3) I wanna see the upper optical cutoff on that, as well as the distance.
Well its not a kit. They are stock HID headlights that I bought from a friend (didn't ask what model car it goes to). all I know is that he had bought a few sets that he bought in a group buy somewhere for his cars but he ended up not needing a set since he got rid of his old bug. I took the bulb and made it fit into a casing for a H4 style bulb(which was not hard to do at all. RTV is my answer for everything, just like duct tape) then I made all the necessary wiring for it and that was it.
To start it all of though I purchased a H4 conversion kit on ebay from makotoautotrends.

For those without that kind of money, IPF sells inserts and specialized H4 bulbs for around $135. They're neat because they give the extra light, fit on the stock plug, and don't add any extra load on the wiring harness. Plus the IPF inserts are glass and metal and not shitty plastic.
Your lights are adjusted way to high. If you stand in front of your car, about 15 feet away, there should be no light above your crotch. From the looks at that pole, the light would be about head level, or enough to blind everyone on the road. It's "swaps" like that that caused the DOT to make all HID's kits illegal. My HID's are aimed pretty low, lower than Hallogen beams for two reasons. One, HID beams have very high glare, the other is that in a hallogen housing, the focus of the beam is distorted, leading to a blurry upper cutoff. You have to aim them lower to compensate for the "bleed" effect at the cut off, and for the glare.
I'd turn your lights on, get in a friends car (normal size like an accord), and drive straight at your car. If the lights don't hurt your eyes, then they are correct.

I suggest looking into some of that Daniel Stern guys papers... I dunno the URL, but I'm sure someone will chime in with it... The optics of a HID system cut off the light at about 2 or 3 ft high down the road... (Hence why I wanted to see the pic that I asked for.) The typical H4 optical setup does not cut off the light...
HID lighting is a SYSTEM... it has many parts that work together... Reflector, lens, bulb, and electronics... Omit any one part of that, and you might get light, but not true HID light as it's intended to be used.
Good effort and getting it to work and all, but I'm gonna say you should do more research before you start using that on the road...
Sylvania/Osram sells a decent H6024/HID replacement kit.

I'll take some more pictures tonight. When I look around on the internet for a HID kit all they sell are the bulbs, ballast, and the ignitors and some wiring to help connect it to the stock system. Of course none of these kits are DOT approved. I would have to get DOT approved low beam projector housings because thats where they belong. Oh and btw I lost my hi beams when I did this but I'm still satisfied.
Be very skeptical about anything claiming to be an aftermarket HID kit. Unless you literally removed ALL the components from a production car, you can end up with nothing but a lot of glare and no hi or low beams. If anyone knows of a legitimate kit that works, please speak up. Daniel Stern knows what he is talking about and has a lot of information on this topic. Here is the url:

I looked into getting HID for my audi, needs new projector lenses, bulbs, ballasts. Pretty expensive, even with knock-off projectors
Also heard that some people feel the HID doesn't shine as well down the road, several BMW and Z350 owners are unhappy with it.

My daily driver has projector headlights.I`am not very happy with them, even after i rewired it with thick wires, and 1 relay per bulb(4 relays in total).
I prefer the normal type above projector.
