Gummed carb?

Hey,

I am currently running premixed with MMO in with my gas. I also have the OMP hooked up. I'm using a 16oz bottle of MMO per full tank of 94 octane gas. I have found that after using the MMO my car has been idling funny and sometimes stalls out unless I adjust the choke. Is it possible that the MMO is gumming up the Weber carb, or is it the process of cleaning it out?

Run some carb cleaner in it if you think its gummed up.

Cut back a little on the premix like very other fill, since you still got the OMP.You have no reason to run a high Octane unless your boosted.

Check your fuel filter and carb adjustments also

I think its because there is too much oil running through the motor.... slow down on the mmo, or strictly use it, and disconnect the omp..........................

Personally I think that MMO AND the OMP is overkill. You're basically doubling the oil going to the motor, which could foul plugs and the like. I think that if you run one or the other, you'd be better off.

I checked my OMP lines and they seemed clogged. I put my finger on the end of the line as the car was running and it dripped maybe one or two drops per 30 seconds. That's not enough is it? Could I just run a lower mix of the MMO? maybe 8 oz per full tank. I always use 94 octane. What would be symptoms of my turbo blowing oil by? Thanks

Inspect you piping from the turbo to the carb, inspect the IC if applicable, there will be a tiny amount of oil in there, but if its excessive the turbo is probally blowing oil by the compressor seals.

Oh and I use about 1/2 - 1 oz per gallon of fuel when I premix, depends on how hard and how much boost I plan on running. Which normally I keep it in the 17-18 psi category, so I use 1 oz of oil per gallon.

I checked the insides of the IC piping and the walls of the compressor itself and I could not find a single drop of oil in them. The car is idling now though, rough at first. I adjusted the choke and made a few redline runs. It seems to be running better now but I still think I need new plugs since I flooded the engine 2 times trying to cold start it in the winter. I believe TJ (RotorMotorDriver) said his car ran like **** before it started to clear up and run good when he used his first premix treatment of MMO. I dunno, we'll see. Thanks for the help though.
