GT35R Turbo upgrade installed

I have been running stock S5 TII for about a year now and it's been fun. The S5 turbo is very tired but i till ran at the strip a handfull of times and my best was a 13.6 at 102 .....at about 8psi peak then redlining around 5, and now its time to up grade!! I installed a GT35R with a .82 turbine housing and FC greedy manifold and tial 46mm wastegate on my TII FB. i have the boost controler set so slow that im only boosting 2 psi until i put the haltech and injectors on. Its a EX6 and 1300, and 800 injectors...
Heres a couple of pics.
Steve

And heres my car

Sweetness

That's one awesome looking car you've got there. The clear lenses and rims look great on the dark colour, paint's in nice shape, and I'm always psyched over turbo FBs.

Damn.. now I want your car... or a second project car to do that with.

K, now you have lot's of other questions to answer, lol. I'm still looking for a turbo for my TII swap and am still undecided. What is your expected hp, where did you get the turbo, how much, and how is fitment with inner fender clearence. Also what size downpipe, 3" ?, and is it a v-band. Did you take any pics of the setup before install? That should do it for now.

Nice set up! One suggestion though, do your new turbo a favor and swap out that air filter asap. I have seen enough turbo damaged with those type of filters.

Thanks, Ed

Looking for about 300 to 350 rwhp. I'm pretty sure the turbo is good to 400rwhp. But this turbo spools so nice and has very little lag. Check the single turbo section for gt35r. There are cheaper turbos but they are not as quick to spool. I got it used for a good deal cost $500. and greddy manifold for $250. There is plenty of room for a bigger turbo, clearance is not a issue. It has a 3" v-band and 3" down pipe to 3" all the way back. I will get more pics fro you..

gt35r .82 usually put out around 550 max on pump gas with a great tuner. atleast on srt4s and hondas. on an RX it should spool quick compared to 4,200min on other4 cyl. makes.

you definitely won't see 500rwhp on pump gas with that turbo. 350? sure

my question is why were you running high 13's with the stock turbo?

I'm also wondering how you ran so fast with a stock turbo.

You won't make 500 rwhp with a GT35R, but you will make your power fast. Horsepower numbers mean nothing if you don't make it over a long RPM range, alot of people fail to realize this. I would love to get a GT35R for my car in the future, excellent turbo!

Awesome project!

I know i can't get 500hp with a GT35R, i never said i would.
I'm looking for 300 to 350Rwhp. Pretty sure i'll be able to get somewhere in that range.

I dont know how i got that fast, it all stock S5 TII, i have a 3 inch exhaust. I really thought it would be alittle bit faster! Like low 13's

Thanks for the kind words!!
I like your project better!!!!!! Dan s young
