gslse air intake

Has anyone made any worthwhile changes to the air intake on a GSLSE?? Thinking a cone filter, or maybe just a K&N in the stock filter box. Any experience here. (have toyed with my GS for a year, just bought the SE though) Thanks

Yup.

-I ported my manifolds.
-I got the HKS adapter and cone air filter
-I did the TB mod reducing intake temps and adding throttle response.

I polished everything but that was just for looks.

My only concerns with the cone filter is what did you do with the afm??? Also, if the factor canister with a K&N works almost as well I think that is preferred for the stock appearance aspect of things. What do you think??

The cone filter attaches to an adapter mounted directly on the AFM. Unless you find a way to seal the cone from hot engine air, you might as well stick with the stock setup.

The stock setup does draw in fresh air and we all know fresh air is better then under hood air, even with a cone type filter.. if the cone were to be isulated at the radiator support and an enclosier fabb'ed so no warm air from under the hood is drawn in.. i've seen such a setup here before on a 2ed gen. it's not really hard to do either.
