84-Corroded aluminum wheels (stock)

The wheels on my 84 are somewhat corroded. Not too bad but in need of cleaning up. There are also some scratches and other marks.

Any ideas on a good wat to make them look new again?

The "plus" wheels are clear-coated. If the clear-coat starts peeling, flaking, etc. then you need to remove the clear-coat and refinish the wheels. The quickest way to strip the wheels is to take them to a commercial stripper and have them tanked. That will also remove the black paint in the center, so that will have to be re-done as well. You can also remove the clear-coat with Eagle 1 "etching mag wheel cleaner" and a stiff brush, but that will take longer and will require multiple applications to get all the old finish off.

Yea...it looks like a clearcoat. I will have them tanked.

Thanks!
