Make sure you have a fully charged battery, with good cranking amps, check your starter grounds, and make sure it getting the power from the battery. With old cars sometimes the ground connections will rust, and ruin your current flow. Just take a wire brush to them to clean them up, and you should be ace. Also double check your battery connections for rust aswell.
