gsl-se tranny swap into 12a Q's

is there any diference "good or bad besides gear ratios" to putting a 1985 gsl-se tranny in a 1984 gs

will it even work

5th gear is a little taller, I think.

You might have interference trying to bolt it up to an engine with the water/oil cooler... I've heard that the vent thingy on the side of the bellhousing interferes with the oil pipe.

LOL!

V8Klr, take and put it in if you can. It will have better milage on the freeway, and is supposedly a little stronger.

Same damn tranny except for 5th gear and the vent - no strength advantage.
