gsl-se tire question?

Im looking into getting new tires for my gsl-se. Id like to get some that are a lower profile and maybe a little wider. I have stock wheels. Any suggestions on tire sizes/brands?

Re: oops

205/60/14 or 195/60/14
195 is slightly skinnier than the 205's

205 is definately the widest

55 or 50 would be the lowest.

anything else would hazardous to the rim.

I just put Cooper 205/60's on my 83 GSL with the stock 13" wheeels and I love them. They are the Cobra GT's and it handles a lot better.

Alright, somehow I've gotten confused about what tires I'll need when I get my new rims.. They're 16", jumping up from the 14" stock GSL-SE wheels, and the tires are 205/60/14. When I get the 16" wheels and buy tires what size do I need to buy so they don't rub, 205/50/16? I'm a n0000bie.....and whats all this talk about offset...?

I have 215/65/13 on mine and they're awesome, better hook up off the line for sure. I've been told a 225 is as wide as you can go but good luck finding a set in a 13, the ones i got was a fluke.
