lets say i had a donor gsl-se roller....
i am interested in the rear end(LSD and disks) i understand that the GSL-SE has a different brake cylinder... donor car should have this...
are the spring perches and such the same?
are the front spindles a clean swap? i would like a matching lug pattern(not 4x110!!!)
i am kinda new at this, what gremlins will i encounter?
thanks in advance,
K.

Swap rear end, straight up. Swap driveshaft to be safe.
Front end is same, easy swap. You do not NEED the master, but swapping the PPV is a good idea. You don't want to send drum power to the discs now, would ya?

PPV is on on brake cylinder, right?
i'm guessing the drums get more power than the disks would?

IIRC the 84+ 1Gen cars benefitted from rear lower control arm mount relocation 1cm lower, which resulted in better handling characteristics - you get that free on the SE's (and all other trim levels).
So, I guess the question would be - all other things being equal, why wouldn't you take your SE 'roller' and retrofit anything you wanted from your 83 car into it? SE's will always be worth more given their larger engine and many other smaller 'enhancements' that went into the SE cars. As a roller, I'm assuming you have everything there you'd need except an engine, and SE engines aren't exactly a dime a dozen these days.
Just posting that up for your consideration. There are many other threads on here over the years regarding 'LSD swap', and the front spindles have different diameter bearing surfaces than non-SE cars, so you'd want the whole upright assembly.
The rest of the suspension components should be pretty straight forward, but be sure to grab the SE's parking brake cables, as they're different.

I wanna keep the gs chassis cuz I've got close to 50 hours in the steering and bushings. It's got afresh cosmo engine with a 600cfm holley setup. Also the se roller is compltetley jacked. Missing driveline, fenders damaged quarter panels and been sitting for 15 years. My gs has hall new poly bushings, pitman, etc. Never gonna get my money out anyway. This will notbe a street car.

Only motivation forgoing this route is my rear end has 258k miles and is dripping from everywhere. Rather not rebuild the inferior rear end. Roller has 50k and minor frame damage(front end). Also rather get away from the 4x110 deal also. Would like to meve int the easily replaceable Honda lug patter... To hell with damaging an impossible to replace panasport(even though they look bitchin on the FB...)
