Sorry in advance about my poor spelling. Ok i have a se and it seems to lack power above 4k rpm has good low end power just no upper powerband. I changed the fuel filter (Inline) Changed plugs wires cap and rotor. I did the following test Fuel pump pressure, Fuel pressure at idel, fuel volume test, I checked tps with the two lights and also checked tps resitance. Cleaned and tested(via resistance) flaper door. Checked fuel injectors for proper ticking sound. Checked ignition ignitor. has new gas in tank. checked 6 port valves for proper movment and thay were locked so i removed shaft and spraid sea fome and freed them up so thay should be working now. did a poor mans compression test via pistion compresion tester with the valve removed it had 3 bumps of 70psi per rotor. installed valve stem and did a max psi of 90psi i dont know if this is good results as im at 3500 feet elivation. So after all the test i did cant seem to find or fix my problem so i need help. also after freeing the 6 ports it seem to inprove the top end but not buy much.

I had the same problem last week. Check your ECU & injection main fusible links - enough power backfeeds through the other circuits to keep the car running even if they're blown. Remove the old wire links and try a jumper wire across the terminals.

If that works, head down to the parts store and pick up some Bussman FLF style links - they fit a little tight but they're much more reliable and easy to find if they let go down the road.
