GSL-SE motor questions...

how much horsepower can one expect to make with a GSL-SE 13b and a weber or dellorto carb and appropriate fuel setup?

additionally:
- will a 12a transmission bolt right up to an SE motor without modification?

With a full headered exhaust sytem it will make around 170 crank HP provided it is tuned properly and the engine has healthy compression

use a weber 48 dcoe, for the best power increase! and dual exhaust!

sorry to ask such a basic question, but is there more power to be had with a carb than stock fuel system w/ injectors and raised fp or something?

From what I've heard the stock FI system isn't all that good, so a carb will make more power. Then again FI is better for climates that change a lot, such as here in the northeast. Carbs can be real bitch in the winter. So like anything its a tradeoff.

if it's not from an 84 or 85 the 12a transmission will have different gear ratios. ..but this may be favourable in your case.
