Yes. That is correct. All early 13B and all 12A (with exception of some real old school engines) are 3mm. They went to the 2mm for better sealing, lighter (less chatter at high RPM), etc. Either seal is fine. Some guys 'upgrade' to 3mm (that have 2mm engines) in turbo applications as the 3mm are stronger. However, if you have detonation, you will likely take out the apex seal whether it is 2mm or 3mm. One other reason to go 3mm on 2mm rotors is if the apex seal groves are worn out. They get milled out for 3mm, making the slot square and true once again.

EDIT: I agree with Steve. His response before edit was not so harsh. I probably wouldn't have responded if that was his original response.

You need to be clear as possible on your questions. We can't help if we don't understand what you are asking. Just play it cool and don't attack people. It doesn't help anything. There is a ton of info to be gathered on here. It is a real asset to be part of it.

Sorry for not being clear and using proper grammer and spelling. Gsl-se addict hit it on the head and thank you. I should of asked the difference between the 13b's also pros and cons. But that still doesn't mean you can act like your better than me. Yes I had a question and asked for your help. I didn't ask you to grade me on either my question, grammer, or if I take drugs. Which I'm positve by the looks of some of you middle aged white men have most likely done drugs and pobably lil boys and other men. With that said, I almost cancelled my plans of going to seven stock. But no internet (wouldn't tell you to your face) person is going to stop me from my love of RX-7's. Maybe when I get there I'll find myself surrounded by the same. To each is his own and I dont tell you what color your car should be because I don't like purple. But whatever floats your boat. Also I'm no newbie, I've been having r's for the past ten years. Rarely asked a question because I searched and found it. And to think (with so much info here) I told friends to check out this site, My mistake. Some people on here seem genuine almost human. I have read you people beat down a many unsuspecting RX owner just trying to get his car started. We all dont have shops and expensive tools like some, But love and I'll say again love our cars. To end all I wish one of you would have told me to my face to learn english. I hope to find a forum that does'nt put down the ones that can't spell, read, write, or do things to your liking. It might not be a big deal to you but im tired of upidy skeletons in the closet, I spent more money, I make more money, my car nicer than yours compansating for all those demons around types. I thought it was all about the RX-7 maybe I'm wrong?

We're not acting like we're better than you, we're telling you to take a second and look at how your writing appears. Read it back to yourself and see if it makes sense.

The only thing we can possibly judge you by is how you write. We haven't met you, we can't see you or hear you, and we don't know anything about you. If your post is hard to read, many people who could have helped you will skip past it because they don't want to have to try and decipher what you're saying.

You're the only person here who has really gone the gambit of being insulting. Saying that we've probably "done durgs and probably lil boys and other men" is something that you'll get your *** banned for saying if you ever do it again.

Have a little common sense, and a little common decency and you'll find that we're all very helpful guys who'll treat you with respect. Well, most of us.

I'm locking this thread before it becomes a big flame war. You've got some info, hopefully it helped. Just proofread once next time before you post and you'll avoid all the **** talk.

Hmm. So many things one can say about this right now. Well, we're not asking that you learn English, but proper grammar and punctuation. I mean, look at it from our side: We're attempting to read something that is beyond comprehension. We're willing to help. But, you have to make it understandable to us so that we CAN help. Now, you can spout off about how it may be irrelevant and asinine to nitpick over one's grammar usage, but really, if we cannot figure out what you're trying to say, you better believe that someone is going to say something to you about "Making it understandable".

You could've ended this a lot sooner by just making your next reply "Hey, I'm sorry for the bad typing and spelling, I was a little tired, I had a long day at work, I had a nail in my foot..." whatever works for you. Then after that, type in intelligible wording explaining in detail what you're wanting help on if you felt you didn't describe it in your prior post. Then, we would've overlooked it, we wouldn't have given you flak, and we would've helped you. But, if you start getting an attitude, and try to defend yourself, and put others down because you cannot stand it when someone points out your fault(s) then you're not going to get much help. It's just going to start an ugly flame war that'll end up getting either locked or deleted. It's happened before.

Now, I'm pretty sure that you're going to say something about this as well, and come out with another long rant, like your previous one, but who is that rant really going to benefit? No one. Just more fuel to the fire. This forum focuses on the RX-7, yes, but it also focuses on the people who drive the RX-7. Which is why we have a Lounge. And, I do believe a lot of friendships have been formed because of this. It may not seem it, but it's there. And, no one's asking you to stay. You can close out the internet window or try a search engine for another RX-7 Forum. But, if you are going to post around here, then it really is helpful if your posts were readable, understandable, and above all, didn't make you seem like a fool and weren't full of sass.
