GSL-SE fuel Pump

Hey I tried starting my project car today and it looks like I have a few problems in the wiring (suprise, suprise) I think something is not grounded right.

Anyway, my car was origionally a GS, but with my new setup I put a GSL-SE Fuel Pump in there. My problem is I cant really feal any pressure in the lines at the fornt of the car, but I here the fuel pump running.

I dont have my stock ECU anymore, if that had anything to do with controling the fuel pump thats probably it.

I tested the pump when I didnt have any gas in my tank, and I felt air moving but not very much. Is there some kind of control for the fuel system that I've missed?

you should hook up a fuel pressure guage, just put a t-fitting on the rubber line close to the engine and it'll be alot easier to figure out. I have one on my gslse. Also the fuel pressure regulator could be seized.

The only true test is to run fuel through it. But I'm sure in your case the pump is fine.

I was told that the that the computer doesn't control the fuel pump, that job is done through the regulators.
One on the pump assembly, and the other is on the fuel rail.

I removed the regulator by the pump, and just put a brand new one on the fuel rail. Mine works fine.

If you need to know what PSI you should be at, PM me and I'll check what mine runs.

Regulators sometimes seize up, and don't adjust to what the motor needs.

Well it might not be that easy.

I found in my 89 FSM that in the FC's the fuel pump recieves a different voltage at idle than it does at cruise.

That probably means its pumping more at idle. Either way I'm going to try hooking it up to the FC fuel pump relay and resister, and those are controlled by the ECU.

Now the same thing I think is in the GSL-SE's, you have the circuit opening relay and the Fuel Pump Relay/Resistor. And I belive those are connected to the SE ecu.

If anybody could confirm that please do!
