The GSL-Se are to start a differnt bolt pattern, they are 4x114.3 as oppose to the 4x110. The front rotors will fit on the hub of an 84-85 car as they have the larger ones, you will need to swap out caliper braket and caliper as the GSL-Se are slightly larger than the other models too. As for the the rear you will have to change your whole axels unit in order to get them on.

all 4 rotors are bigger, in addition to the rears being much wider since they are vented.

so they are very different.

I knew about the bolt pattern and rear end as I have a GSL-SE. I bought one as a roller and the seller did not mention that the front calipers and mounting plates were missng. It was quite a surprise as I took the wheel off.

So the calipers are different slightly bigger. That would mean I would have to use the mounting plate and caliper from whatever year to get my front brakes installed whether SE mouting brackets and calipers or the other way around.

thanks for the reply

Yes you would have to use SE calipers. Oh and the lowest rx7 model is a S, not G as you stated
