Question GSL-SE or 2nd gen parts on 1st gen?

Hi, i have an '84 GSL that is mostly stock. I am
wondering which parts of other RX7's (SE's, 2nd gens..)
would improve my car, and in which way they would i
improve, and if it is worth it. Ive heard lots of talk of people putting GSL-SE parts into other sevens, but i havnt heard what kind of performance they get out of it.

Ok, let me narrow this down some more, or maybe to specify more, idk. Ive heard that the se's have a more powerful transmission and better suspension and ppl do rear end swaps. Im curious if there are other more painless swaps that will help car performance, i dont want to go all out quite yet.
