take one of the wheels off of the Rx7 that you own and put it on, and if you got a S, GS, GSL models the wheels the wheel wont fit and you got a SE rear end, and if it does fit then you dont have a SE rearend. im sure there is a different way to tell but thats how i would do it.

Shouldn't the SE be studded rather than having threaded holes?

If its a whole rearend, the the guys have it down....

Lug studs instead of lug bolts and a 114.3MM pattern instead of 110MM.
Plus the SE has bigger, vented brake discs rather than the smaller solid discs of the GSL.

If you just got a pumpkin or 3rd member(also known as a "rearend" then there is a way to tell it apart.Just count the teeth on the ring gear and the pinion gear......Then divide the two together. The GSL will be 3.90 and the SE will be 4.07.
The SE rear also has a different LSD disc stack, but that can be hard to tell without tearing the unit down to bare parts.

If it has the brake rotors on it, the GSL-SE rotors are vented, while the GSL rotors are solid. That's the way I tell them apart.
