Ground controls

Has anyone ever used Ground controls for another car on the SA/FB front suspension? Many cars have a similar style front strut assembly to the 1st gen and 2nd gen RX7, but most have less of a concave shape at the bottom of the coil. I test fitted a 2nd gen spring into a 1st gen strut and it fit the bottom, but was too wide at the top. I'm curious if anyone has ever swapped a 2nd gen strut top and spring onto a 1st gen strut assembly. There are more options for 2nd gen springs is why I'm thinking about it. My main interest is to install ground controls for the FC into my SA or a really low spring for 2nd gen.

I had REspeed coils on my old SA, but since REspeed is no longer an option...

Might be a stupid question, but why not just get the ground control coilovers made for the first gen?

Also, if i can make a 2nd gen spring fit by swapping tops there are lots of good springs out there for 2nd gens that liwer the car 2-3 inches.

There's literally Ground Control Suspension Systems - Your source for the best in suspension parts and accessories.

There's also hundreds of generic coil over sleeves that will work with generic 2.5 ID springs, top hats, etc.

There's also cheap universal camber plates on ebay for a hundred bucks, just needs studs for the strut mount.

In short, there's still a ton of options, provided that you're willing to do a little work.
