The completed picture looking into the wheel-well looks identical to my car! I love it!
Couple questions for you. Are you going to use any sort of shock bumper? Did you locate the perches were they recommended them to be? I ended up moving them up an inch ,after tacking them on and testing the ride height I determined that at my ideal height I was at the upper end of the adjusters, so I moved then up to get them more centered. Also, what spring rate did you go with, and are you happy with the ride?
Looks great, and the write up will be a great tool for people in the future! Great Job!

Thanks guys. I will get some more pics of the car, completed, tonight and post them. I took the car to Texas World Speedway for a www.thedriversedge.net weekend on the track and the car was great. I have to wash off all of the break dust
The track is a fast track, I hit 120+ on the straights, which would have been good except for the slack in my steering(white knuckle express).... waiting on the r&p conversion to see if it will work on my car.
I used 175 rear springs(eibach) and 340 fronts which were the recomendations from ground control. The ride is firm, and the car is very neutral. The ride height is higher then it was, but the old springs/struts were worn out. I left the stock bumbers in there and they havent been a problem at my current height. The springs have been on for 2 weeks now, so they should be settling.
The directions are scarce.... I made like four phone calls to clerify what I was supposed to be doing, just post any questions and I will be glad to walk you through what I know.
Thanks for the input.

I just got my new bumpers from G.C. and they weren't exactly what I expected. They are about the same size as factory just stiffer. I will have to cut a little off the top and the bottom for them to work. Ohwell, I was hoping for something shorter since they are for the coil-over kit and it can be used to lower the car. Atleast they are stiffer!

wow, if my car sits that low, i will be enthralled... that biotch rides like a 4x4 now.... look at that wheel gap
i went with the racing beat springs in the back, and the GC reccomended springs up front on the coilovers. Was this a mistake? How much are the "match" Eibach's from GC as compared to the Racing Beat Rears?

Yes, they are the enkei RSE rims like Mantis. These are 17's and I really like them quite a bit. I'm kind of glad it was dark, the da*n rotors are starting the whole rust thing again..... and I think I may have baked the red paint on my front calipers to black, the rotors did have a nice blue tint after one of the sessions.....
As for the rear springs, i like the eibachs, they were like $180-200, but I have heard good things about others as well. I think the spring rate is the most important, not the brand.

I know, I know... I'm a bastard.
It is a ford 306 coversion with a victor jr. high rise intake, so the carb sticks up through the hood a little (2-3") therefore I have the cowl. I'd really like to do a turbo II style scoop before I get it painted.
It runs like a bat out of hell. 13.23@110 in a straight line ( and very rich) , and it is very neutral on the track. It weighs in at 2600lbs ( I used lots of alluminum stuff up front.) with 1440 front and 1160 rear. That is without a driver, so I think it is probably pretty close to even with my 230lb butt in there.
It is a GSL-SE, I looked for quite a while to find one sans motor and transmission. I bought this from the guy who admins the FB mailing list for $1000. The Interior is clean, clean, clean. I put 1999 miata seats in to lower the ride height, and they work great.
www.jickedoutbastards.com/rx7.html
has a little more info.
I am looking forward to the rack and pinion conversion, which wont be an ethical debate for me, since I am already a bastard, I'm sure the purests will consider this blasphemy as well. jk
Bottom line is I love the seven, and this one has a lot of my blood, sweat and swearing built into it.

When I pulled the 13.23, I was using the same 17" wheel with a 235/40/17 Nitto 450 at about 17lbs of air pressure. I was spinning through most of first and second gear.
I've just recently installed an a/f meter and a pyrometer and have leaned out the fuel to 14:1 at WOT as opposed to 12:1 at WOT. I did pick up some power there. I need some time on a real dyno as opposed to the butt dyno.
Additionally, we are at 3200 ft here in Lubbock and the air is crappy, it usually adjusts out on the dyno to about the same as 5600 ft. I'd wager I'm in the 12's in Lubbock today , and deep in the 12's at sea level.
