grinding noise coming from right rear wheel?

grinding noise coming from right rear wheel?

it sounds like someone is skateboarding just behind me. it just started happening, today, and it sort of come and goes

what could this be?

if u have drums in the back... maybe the shoes need to be re-adjusted?

i remember i had noise, but that was because i had just changed the drum and pads and it needed adjustments...

I had the same prob and it was my pinion bearing. I know you said right rear but it is coming from the pinion bearing. If you ask your passenger where the noise is comin from they will say left rear. I dont know why, I just know.

I kind of have a similiar noise, i just cannot pin point where it's coming from, some people say it sounds like it's coming from the rear end some from the tranny area, some even say it sounds like it's under the hood.

Well, I suggest pulling the rear wheels and looking at the brakes, that way u either find the prob, or eliminate one possibility of the problem. Duh!

well you guys dont sound too concerned... because its i need my car tomorrow and i cant have anyone look t it till at least then.. maybe not till tuesday or wednesday...
