great vacuum hose deal!!!!

so i'm replacing the vacuum hoses on my car...i'm searching for the best deal as i'm sure everyone does

well...i find this guy in socal who has a great deal on what is very good quality hoses...here's the email he sent me...

I have limited quantities of "special" colors. I have some silver,
yellow, and black. I just don't have all of the sizes to make a kit. I
sell full car vacuum kits for $40.00 + Shipping. To be honest the kit is
enough to do 2 cars, but I am always in a giving mood so I even through
in zip ties if you need them.

The kit has the following:

3.5MM 15Ft
4.0MM 15Ft
6MM 10Ft
8MM 5Ft
10MM 5Ft

That's over $63.00 of product for $40. Shipping is usually around $12.00
for 2 day delivery.

This is the best silicone on the market. It is called platinum cured
silicone and is far more superior to other brands you may see in stores.
Wait until you see what you get in your package. You will see what I am
talking about.

You can tell them I am having a sale on my Silicone Vacuum Hose kits as
well as Turbo/intercooler/intake hose.
Well...you guys can email him any questions you may have...I just thought I'd share the wealth

sales@hightempsilicone.com

From what I know so far he doesn't have a website ... i found him in ebay. When it comes in I'll let you guys know how it goes

Since you found him on Ebay,...

Does he have feedback (positive and/or negative)?
Can he provide pictures of the products he is selling.

Does he have a company address in So Cal? (I may visit to see the product in person). Heck, does he have a business license?

You may have come across this great deal, but please be aware that if this vendor turns out to be a scam artist (only a scenario) or if this product fails to perform as mentioned above,...people are going to be pissed at you, because you are seemingly promoting this deal on the forum.

c'mon now...ofcourse I checked his vitals...isn't that the first thing EVERYONE does when they buy from ebay?

feedback rating = 150
positive feedback = 100%

i also did a small interview type by asking lots of questions...here's what i got out of him...

His business name is Hightemp Silicones (web site due out in end of January)

he's been working with polymers for over 13 years.
he's been selling silicone to MAJOR companies for about as long...I won't say the name but I'll give initials...(K&N)

he used to consult for companies but now does it on his own so he can show his actual specs...not fake ones...

from what i gather so far, he's a straight forward guy...he replies to my emails in good time and replies to ALL of them.

i haven't gotten my delivery yet...if you guys want to wait then wait...it'll be 1 more day before i get them...and i'll take lots of pics before and after install...

he will be able to give a 25% discount on a group buy...is anyone else interested???

here's a pic of his blue hose he's selling on ebay...

and here's a link to one of his ebay sales if you wanna check out what he says...

Hello to all,
I am the owner of High Temp Silicones. I believe that forums such as these benefit all parties in locating parts and finding excellent buys. I too am part of forums for my own personal interests. That said, I understand the value of having sponsors help with the cost to maintain and keep forums like this one growing strong.

I would be interested in being such a sponsor and promoting my silicone hose business on RX7Club. Can somebody point me in the right direction as to who I should contact prior to posting invitations for group purchases?

Thank you,
Jim

How hard is it to replace all of the hoses? Are they all the same size? Is it basicly just pull off the old ones, measuring and replacing them? If it is, they should be an easy project. How many are there?

Thanks

Bob,
Thank you for the email. I will contact Ryan sometime today.

John, after you pull off and measure your existing hose, it is as easy as plugging in a blender! The quantity of hoses is year and model specific.

Hope that helps. If needed, I can get into this with more detail once I arrange something with Ryan. I am new to this forum and dont want to overstep my boundaries on my first or second post.

Thanks
Jim

This may help some who are considering changing out their vacuum hoses. It's a color diagram of a 13b engine's vacuum hoses. It makes it easier to follow along. THANX TO FJ FOR THIS DIAGRAM...click the picture to see the original posting on this...

I did find a 12a non-color version out there last week but can't find it today...if anyone knows the link to it please post it here...

*edit* I did recieve my order btw and will start changing them out tonight...i'll have pix of before after as well as user feedback if anyone cares...

That does not look to hard to do. Maybe a couple of hours and thats it, thats if I can fit my hands into some spots. Well worth the time and agrivation of hunting down vaccum leeks.

I'm thinking of colouring the vaccum hose diagram for the 12a. MOST of it is pretty straightforward, but the problem lies in the metal lines which are obscured by the stuff in front. Do any of you guys have good pictures of rats nests in various stages of with/without hoses I might be able to use for reference? My car's tarped, tied and snowed in for the winter, so I can't reference my own car for now.

Jon
