got some 17s today for a freakin steal!! 250 for the whole set one has a brand new tire and the other 3 are about 80% tread, they are all 205/40/17 kumho ecsta ast on konig reasons.

there 4x100 or 4x114 bolt pattern so im just waitin on my 4x110-4x100 wheel adapters and my mazdatrix studs to arrive to put these bad boys on!

got these wheel adapters good deal i think 125$ shiped for all 4

^^ bit harsh
But hey every man to himself.
I would rather see the car with the rims actually on it though... :-/

actually i havent got teh spacers yet but they are 15mm and with 15 mm between the rim and rotors the fitment is only about 1/8" out farther than the rims now

everybody says 17s r too big i know but i think it looks nice.
and ya i just bought a heat gun the other day im gonna be working on the stripes soon, it was a drunken impulse lol

ok now that were serious again since i jacked my own thread lol

to all of you big rim haters be assured im not just throwin some rims on it and calling it good. since the car came stock with 13" steelies these 17s are much much heavier so im going to upgrade my shocks with some nice gas 50/50 or maybe 60/40 kyb's in the rear and probably the tokicos for the front from RB to keep these boys on the ground. also i ordered studs from mazdatrix so when they come in ill bolt up the wheel adapter with the correct studs instead of how some people just shave the stock lugs to fit. i think its gonna look nice plus going to 4x100 opens up a whole new world of wheel options which is great!! it was soo dang hard to find stupid 4x110, turns out thats the most common ATV pattern so all i could find was 4wheeler rims lol who knew :P

shitty fitment? a 205/40/17 is .2 inches taller and .1 inches wider than my original 195/60/14 i already posted that the offset is set in the wheel well by 1/8 inch i dont know what you are refurring to about fitment unless you mean the ratio of rim to rubber and i admit its not original but why the **** not.\

Thats a deal on the tires alone, which are very good tires. Am I going to be seeing this thing running with MAC this summer?

I have seen those rims before on other cars and didn’t like them at all… Looking at them next to your car they look awesome. They really complement the cars color and vise versa. I kind of wish I went the same was as you, I wen't with Konig REWINDS and BF Goodrich KDW 205/50/15 but wish I did the same thing the 17" rim looks great on 7s

Post pics when there on!

Very nice! I don't usually like that style of rim, but they seem to suit your car very well. Now all you have to do is lower it.
I can't wait to install my gslse rear end and brakes, so that I can put my 17s on my car.

You should post the wheel/tire specs for those that think bigger is better. Body does need to be lowered.

Third pic looks like 205/40 I think. I agree with the others, lower it some to close up the gap at the fender.

ok to answer all your ?S

yes they are 205/40/17 kumho ecsta ast

and i am gong to lower it with the racing beat 79-85 suspension package it brings it down 1.25" front and .75" rear thats good enough and for 480$ thats a good deal cuz it comes with sway bars and bushings

and now i have a GSL limited slip in the back thanks to installer67

and yes i have wheel adapters 4x110 to 4x100 they cost me 100$ for all 4 on ebay, 16 studs from mazdatrix cost me 35$, and a set of 16 locking lug nuts cost me 40$

i think 17s are perfect for first gens, althought the rims and tires are each 10 lbs heavier than my aluminum 14's so i can just barley feel the difference in acceleration but worth it for the looks. plus im streetporting and turboing my second engine so im lookin at some major horsies there

As far as the specs go, just measure the back spacing and rim width, that will suffice along with the adapter thickness.
