For your ignition- have you tried removing and grounding the plugs (those bolts around the strut tower work great), then cranking it over and visually verifying that you have good spark?
For your carb- have you already tried pulling the top off and cleaning your needles? all it takes is one little piece of crap to lodge itself in there, and you'll be dumping gas like there's no tomorrow.

It runs prety strong in first, then worse and worse in every gear, the sputtering happends more and more the harder i press the gas. I dont know whats going on it sounds like maybe a fuel issue or maybe...ignition. I checked the leads with a voltmeter and it said 13.6 at the leading and trailing coil on the larger wire post, then on the smaller i read 13.5 on the leading and 11.2 on the trailing coil. But i dont know how to check to see if they are working properly. Like i said the plugs are golden brown and the new carb helped alot but still lots of issues. god i'm getting angry.
Does any know of any cheap weber or holley setup, ive got abouts 800 bucks and i needs to get this car back to running condition.
What is the chance you have gotten some bad gas with a lot of water in it - for this to stop running well suddenly there must be some outside influence? And have you replaced your fuel filter near the tank? Both will cause strange problems at speed - ask me how I know. And check that the tank is not getting overpressurized (when you take the cap off after running the car - does it go poof?)

Mine did due to the vent system getting clogged at the charcoal filter - i drilled the hole out a little bit....

definately something getting into the carb thats ******* it up because if i use some carb clean on it maybe once every three days it will bring it back up to about 90% nevermind the shitty idle, idles really well at 1200 so i just tuned it to there. I replaced the fuel filter about three weeks ago, way before any of this started. Il have a peak to see what the colour is but im just stumped. youd think that if i got water in the gas it would have made its way out by now.

You didn't put diesel fuel in by mistake did you? Don't laugh, I've read about it before. lol.

If carb cleaner is helping, then maybe you should run some Seafoam through the tank...

I cant get seafoam anywhere in canada. I had the head office of lordco in vancouver look it up and he didnt even know where to get it. I should get a few bottles shipped down from one of you guys.

ANother note, my fuel actually looks cloudy going into the carb right now...for what i can see in the new fuel filter i just installed right before the carb.

Dont know if anyones going to check this out but i ran some seafoam through and it didnt really do squat, i checked the ignition, its fine. Now heres the good one, i checked the float levels, 80% of the glass in the front, 70% in the rear. I think its flooding and stuff....sounds like the floats are either stuck or they needels are jammed. God i hate these nikkis lol. They are a good carb but even with my three fuelfilters the needles still got clogged.
