Got my first 1st gen!

Well I recently picked up an 84' GSL-SE. Targa 7, fully loaded, ac, cruise, power roof blah blah, literally FULLY loaded. Black (grey?) ext, red or maroon interior whatever its called. 90K original miles.
Pros:
90K orignal miles
Georgia car (no rust at all, looks like an RX8 underneath)
Fully Loaded

Cons:
Flood car
Drivers Fender toast, lots of big dents (no prob I've got another)
RR quarter has a gouge in it
Passenger Tailight toast, I need another
Passenger fender, 2 big dents which can be pulled with a stun gun.
No problem though, my body guy will do the work for at least 600 bucks which is a great deal.
Interior smells horrible cause of flood, no problem I gotta pull it all out and clean it
Radios toast from the water, no problem I'll wire up a deck.

Well despite all the cons I think the milage and overall complete absense of rust (rust what rust?) outweighs the problems. I got it to run on saturday, problem is its got no fuel pressure. To get it to run I had to clean the ECU because It had layers of mud on it. Now I think I've gotta clean the MAF and the fuel pump is probably toast from the water.

I've got a few questions, could I use my 2nd gen spare fuel pump (90 N/A) on my SE? I don't really care if it runs rich at first because I plan on adding some horsepower items. What horsepower should I expect stock at 90K miles? I expect around 136hp..

Actually your 2nd gen fuel pump does not put anywhere the volume or PSI that a SE pump delivers. Not even the stock TII pumps deliver as much as the SE pump does.

A stock SE engine puts out 135HP.

You stated that the AFM is corroded. Was it flooded to the point of the top of the engine being being under water?

How can a S5 TII pump not put out as much pressure? Weren't they like 170 hp+ stock?

The S5 TII engine was rated at 200HP stock and yes the SE has a higher output fuel pump.

When I refer to output I am referring to volume of fuel not PSI

The entire car was submerged, not sure at what angle. I don't even know if the engine bay was underwater..most likely. Nothings corroded, just covered in mud. So I think the AFM is muddy just like the ECU was before I cleaned it. The headliner has mud on it so I think the whole thing was underwater...No matter, just needs a good cleaning and it'll run.

But that sucks about the fuel pump problem, I'm not too sure if its blown or anything I still need to check the fuses and test some other stuff.
