Talking Got my body kit and also my spoiler !

Im happy as hell. I finally got my body kit and i also got my spoiler... I will be ordering the full RB exhaust very soon and Im evaluating which wheels im gonna get... most likely 17 or 18...

By the way... the body kit is the RACEONUSA body kit and the spoiler is the whale tail that I got from Bwaits...

I am in the process of locating the person that is going to do the body and paint work...

the project continues...

You may want to rethink your rim diameter. 16" is the limit that most find that looks acceptable. Even running 15" rims with a 50 series tire on the widebody, my speedo is over 10% off. Great way to get tickets, I know, lol.

The taller the rim, then you will run into 2 issues. It will raise the body even more than 15s or you will need to run 30-35 series tires to keep the speedo reading even close. That's like wrapping rubber bands around the rims. Not only will it make the ride much harsher/rougher, it also increases the possibility of tire and rim damage from even small potholes.

Imho, bling bling large diameter wheels don't do a thing for a 1st gen and have too many downsides. It's your car and your choice, just giving advice from experience.

Since you're the 1st member that I'm aware of that has bought this kit, posting pics is a must. Along with details of how well it fits and what pitfalls are encountered during installation. A full writeup of the install would benefits the members that are considering this kit.

Which whaletail did you get from Billy? If it's the true IMSA wing, not the dealer optioned one, I will be envious. Fwiw, I do the CP Racing one for sale in the parts section.

Very nice looking body kit indeed. I vote for 15" rims. Go here to see some "virtual" combinations. http://www.kaltire.com/retail/custom...tualWheels.php

that is their new one... it is a replacement bumper. the question I would be if the replacement bumper requires the removal of the reinforcers.. if that is the case then in my humble opinion it is worthless... I have seen plenty of accidents with cars that had body kits w/out the reiforcers in the bumper and the whole car turns to garbage even with the most minimal hit...

just my 2 cents

About the wheels... I have 19" on my Celica... I know all about the ride and all that but thanks for your input, it is appreciated...Not sure I would go with anything less than 17" but we will see...

this is the whale spoiler I got...

I talked to them and it requires the replacement of the reiforcers...

17"s are alright on 1st gens, just make sure they're not heavy lumps of crap. Any bigger is pointless. I think overall my car handles better with 17"s than it did with 15"s
