Got back in the 7 yesterday to hear some familiar sounds.

About four months after I got my RX7 I starded to hear loud clunking twoards the rear of my car every time I went over the slightest bump.
Over the winter I replaced the shocks and checked the wheels so I know that they are not the problem. I still believe it has somthing do do with me suspension but don't know where to start looking. Any Ideas?

The sound's a lot like a worn sway bar link. My old Pulsar had the same problem once, easy fix. You should check the trailing links and the watt's link too.

Good call. My rust bucket MR2 made some really weird noises and the steering was sticky. Turns out the dumbass PO had cut the springs so much one of them popped out and started rubbing on the wheel well!

If it's the sway bar, you could just remove it altogether. It apparently really helps the handling.

Aren't sway bars for handling?

I'm confused. How does removing the rear sway bar help handling? Replacing could make sense, but just removing? It would seem strange to add a part that hinders cornering handling on a car designed for corners.

Because the rear sway bars were way too stiff and can cause the inside wheel to lift up on hard cornering, inducing massive "snap" oversteer.

I have experienced the snap oversteer, but have not personally tried removing the bar and seeing how it affects it. From what I've heard, though, it is an improvement with otherwise stock suspension.
