Question Is this a GOOD IDEA??? JUST CLICK HERE!!!

k... i swapped my intake into the RE-SUPER INJECTION... but keeped the trottle body from my 85 GSL-SE... anyways... my question is... I think its the DASHPOT... the thing that opens the secondary ports up front in the trottle body(has 3 gold color screw that holds it)... it connects to a green check valve that connects to the water temp valve(or something)... anyways... I put 2 springs in the housing so that it would be harder to close the second port opening.... Is this a bad thing to keep it open like this???

well check it out... cuz if its stuck it won't provide a lot of air in the 2nd intake runners that goes through the other ports(where the sleeves are at)... I lubricated every hinges in the trottle body so it won't get stuck and added that extra spring in there to make it stiffer so when it wants to close it won't close easy... SO anyone else with a GSL-SE have any opinion...

I guess i dont understand. is it stuck open, so you are trying to get it to close? or is it stuck closed, so you are making it open easier?

do the tb mod and remove all that unnessary junk around the TB. And when you re-route the coolant line, you bring down your intake temps drastically. (think what temp your coolant is at?)

what exactly do I remove from the TROTTLE BODY... I know I can't remove TPS...

I put the second SPRING... so that it will be hard to close the port.... Their's nothing STUCK its just STIFFER... what I was saying is that if that thing is STUCK(PUSH DOWN(MEANING CLOSED)) if won't provide alot of air in the secondary ports...

Yeah if you disconnect the vacumn line to it, i hear that it stays open. This is the cheapest fix.

I'm going to do what jimmy54 was talkin aabout, as soon as i figure out what the hell ye said lol

The tb mod has a entire "walk thru" in the second gen section. Ask for the link with pictures and They'll hook you guys up!
