Maybe it is one of those new fangled things called a 'typo' ...there was an 84 GS for sale a few months ago for $27,000. It was nice looking, but he really only wanted $2,700.

No way....
You think you get bad gas mileage...try having a supercharger on your car....22mpg would make me happy...not to mention you can only use premium gas on them..

I live at the gas station...lol

I get about 10mpg with my setup. I'd love to get decent milage, but the speed is worth it

46mpg... maybe Imperial gallons... and kilometers?

Then again maybe he never looked. I saw an FC for sale in a dealer lot that said "FUEL SAVER" on the windshield. Well the engine says 1.3 doesn't it?

Best thing you can do for economy is get headers and use 4th gear instead of 5th if you're driving below ~75mph cruise.

I'm in Westerville, very northern part of Columbus.

Getting 10mpg really sucks, especially when you need 92octane or higher, and you need to premix.

7 Mpg on the track,
28mpg on a straight freeway shot to Seattle, speeds averaging between 75 and 90 MPH.
18 average, and very consistant at that.

My 84SE gets about 17 in the city, and as much as 19 on the highway, but not really much more than that no matter what I do. This is about what it got before header installation, also.

I think that by adding heavier wheels, tires, and such, that it's kind of a wash when it comes down to actual mileage.

Just think - we're still getting better mileage that some of the guys on the RX-8 forum, however! Can you believe that some of those guys are getting as low as 11mpg and that's with standard (not pushing it) city driving???

The mileage estimates for the RX-8 are wide and varied - and these engines are all stock, still...

If you can go, there's going to be a meet in Cleveland on the Oct 26. I don't know the time yet, or where exactly, but there's a sticky post in the NE section about it.

When my car was near stock, I could get up to 25mpg if it was all highway. I usually got around 17mpg though, almost all city driving.
