good deal or not?

hey members I need some advice. . I got some one selling me a 13b streetported 4 port motor w/ I think its 48 weber carb down draft Rb headers T ll trans second gen ignition. Coil set up. ..mileage unknown but its been in a project car For a grand... what u guys think should I get this and drop it in my 12a fb... Or should I go with something else...thanks

I have that but a 6 port from a '91 in the track car. The IDA is great. You'll like that setup. For a grand, I'd go for it. You'll have a bit of a sleeper on your hands. There will be a little more expense like the engine mount and things like that, but it shouldn't be much. If you have any questions, let me know and I'll be happy to help.

Thats very similar to my set up. You will absolutely love it.......

Much stronger than the 12A yet very dependable and easy to keep running

I'm not sure about the TII tranns into FB, I doubt that the trans mount would work without mods, I'm sure there is a thread in the archives that will give that information, however You FB tranny should bolt onto the 4port, thats what I did.

I'd definately go for it. Can sell pieces and probably turn a profit if it ends up not working properly. If the TII trans is an S4 it will swap in with little modification. Clutches aren't interchangable but if he is selling it as a whole the clutch should be the one you need.

Well its all complete its coming out a truck straight into my fb complete swap w clutch. All I need is to find a way to fit the tranny and a front bracket..... Does anyone know a link to mod the second gen tranny into my fb?? ... And thanks a lot guys for the info
