GLS-SE carb conv

What problems should I expect to do a webber carb conversion? I am picking up a very clean SE without motor or trans. Let me say it now I am not interested in doing a TII swap so lets get it out of the way. I think a street port a webber set up is all I want.

My main question involves the ignition and vacume lines, once the EFI is removed.

Carbed SE

I have a dual DCD webber set up in my SE, I do not run any vacum lines. Got to get a diferent fuel cable out of a non FI and have to trcik the ECU. I placed a plug like fuse on the right side of the car harness. I do not have my car at home for a pic but it is fairly easy. If you do not do this it will cut off on you.

The only "issue" with carbing the -SE is that you will need to ground the fuel pump relay, it is located in the passenger foot well along side the computer. And a good return style FPR and you should be good. All vacume lines will be removed as there is nolonger a point to having them, and your distributor will work just as it always has.

Good luck

In the RB kit they give you a little wire that you shove both ends of into a conector plug in the engine bay. This makes the pump come on with the ignition.

Carbed SEs are the ****!

Pump wire

there are acouple of ground wires as part of the engine harness that need to be grounded and they are easy to spot. The fuel pump wire has a T style plug. Here is a pic of the plug-like-fuse I used.
