Ghetto Compresion Tester
Ghetto Compresion Tester
A guy at a friends shop made the part that goes in the plug hole
I have another tester (for piston engines) that I will use to compare the readings on this one
The thing is, I cannot use the piston tester on my 12A because you cant remove the valve on it.
So, .... I build this one
Wish me luck

you can usually still use testers like your piston one... you've just got to 'convert' them... if your valve doesn't come out you can still convert it, but it's more of a one way process (break).

if you hold that release valve open, it will release pressure coming into the hose, thus not giving you any reading at all, or at least a low reading. Break that damn schrader valve out or remove it. or buy a compression tester for $20.

Someone asked why a Piston comptester would read 20%less then the rotary mazda one! I forgot But its true! I'll look 4 the link......I even tested mine w/ a mazda one and a regular one and they are WAY OFF!
First off: Argentina. Here a comp tester runs for at least 150$ (pesos) = 50U$S
If you consider that our currency is 3 to 1.... its kinda expensive for me.
I got around 35psi on both rotors on a cold compresion test. I was unable to run a test with the engine in operating temperature because I was alone and to get it started you need to push it.
