I hope you don't mean Viton oil seals, aka oil control o-rings. Viton is a useful and cost effective material for some applications, but it does not last long as an oil control o-ring in our opinion. We love it (in certain grades) for water seals, rear stationary gear o-rings, oil filler pedestal o-rings, dowel o-rings, etc., but it appears to absolutely sucks for oil control o-rings. The factory oil control o-rings are a very expensive fluorinated rubber, which is the only thing we recommend you ever use in that application. They last well over 100,000 miles. Viton is much, much, much cheaper but not worth it. Seriously, we see a handful of motors a year come in the shop with 20K or less and bad *aftermarket* oil control o-rings. I don't know how long they normally last, but all the bad ones we've seen tells a sad story.
