Gears

I may be a post ***** and a tool, or probadly even both but does anyone know how, aside from manually checking it, I can find the ratio for my rear. I rear end in question is a '85 GSL rear. Is there a serial number or tag on the rear end it's self that might indicate the ratio? Thanks

Unless it is a GSL-SE rearend, it will be 3.90. SE's had like a 4.10 ratio rear, but a taller 5th gear, to give the same (or close) final drive ratio.

a GSL-se, my bad. According to the the chart at http://mazdatrix.com/faq/ratios.htm I won't be gaining anything except rear disc brakes. Dam, I was hoping to get some lower gears and disc brakes
