Gearbox/Transmission
I don't know too much about the S5 & S6 Gearboxes, but anyone got an about how hard dropping a S5 or S6 gearbox into an 85 is?
How strong are they, say, compared to a S4...basically my Gearbox is a bit rough now and rather pay to get it all reconditioned I'd just rather drop in a later model gearbox.. only question is which one and how hard is it...

I'm not sure what issues are involved in swapping the newer transmissions into a 1Gen, but here is some information on the transmissions:
There is no significant difference between the S4 and S5 gearboxes. The TII gearboxes are much stronger than the non-turbo gearboxes, but they will also impose more fitting problems due to their slightly different specs. The S6 gearboxes are more or less the same as the TII gearboxes, but the clutch operation is totally different.
