Is the gear ratio of a gsl and gsl-se the same ???
Id like to know if the gear ratio of the gsl or gsl-se the same???Im not sher if it's the same or not. MY car is a 84 gsl and the doner is a 85 gsl-se. Thank's for the help guy's.And if this thread has been don befor my bad,so dont bust my ball's

Thats not consistant with what that recent thread stated,although I was not aware of any change in the GSL-SE's 4.07 ratios in the first place.
4.07 and 4.08.........thats a tiny,tiny amount that you arent going to notice.And,he didnt ask about changes to the SE anyways,he asked about differences between the GSL and the GSL-SE.
S,GS and GSL cars used a 3.90 ratio and the GSL-SE used a 4.07 ratio(as far as Ive ever seen)......there is not a huge change felt in the swap from one to another.The lower SE ratio will help a slower car to accelerate faster,but youll spin more revs at freeways speeds.I recently switched back to 3.90 and it was barely felt,just like when I went up to 4.07 from 3.90.
