There *were* two different ratios... early '84 used 4.077 ratio, late '84-85 used 4.083.

Thats not consistant with what that recent thread stated, although I was not aware of any change in the GSL-SE's 4.07 ratios in the first place.
4.07 and 4.08.........thats a tiny, tiny amount that you arent going to notice. And,he didnt ask about changes to the SE anyways,he asked about differences between the GSL and the GSL-SE.

S,GS and GSL cars used a 3.90 ratio and the GSL-SE used a 4.07 ratio(as far as Ive ever seen)......there is not a huge change felt in the swap from one to another. The lower SE ratio will help a slower car to accelerate faster, but youll spin more revs at freeways speeds.I recently switched back to 3.90 and it was barely felt, just like when I went up to 4.07 from 3.90.

Id also like to know if the 3.90 axles are the same as 4.07
