Gauges malfunction

I cannot seem to get my temperature gauge or my fuel gauge working on my 83 GSL. And the only other gauge in that ring is the oil pressure, and it acts up too. Any ideas what could be wrong. I've checked the fuel tank sending unit.. The ohms seem ok.. The wiring at plug on the back of the instrument cluster also is reading continuity.. Help...

I suffer from gauge malfunctions too.... Gas reads empty all the time, I think I know why on mine, bad connection at the fuel tank sending unit.... was gonna swap from a parts car, then saw that the parts car's unit was rivited on. Also my oil pressure gauge shows that the pressure is always high, it maxes out soon as you turn the key to run....

OK so lets go at this one at a time. Lets try oil pressure first. I understand that there is a wire that connects under the oil cooler and I believe the wire color is yellow with a ??? stripe and has a square single female spade connector. NOW, also in the same area (in my engine compartment) there is another yellow/red stripe wire that has a round bullet connector. Does the bullet connector plug into something? I can take pics if needed. BTW I have removed the AC, cold start crap, rats nest, and cruise control. SO, I have lots of extra wires so its kinda hard for me to remember where all that stuff went to/goes.

I've been working on this problem in my '83 RX-7 for a while now, and I've searched voltages all throughout the stupid cluster. I've got continuity from the X-5 Connector Y wire to ground (which is everything from the cluster to the ground through the sending unit) and I've got decent power. Seems my regulator is bad. But it will give me good temp readings sometimes... very odd.

you guys need to buy a new hamster...dead hamster=no power (hamster encounters death....cage wheel that he runs inside of stops turning...because the wheel stops turning no more power is being created thus equals things no more worky worky.) Its all a domino effect fellas come on you know that......its like when you go to the zoo and you pay 5 bucks to punch the monkeys in the nuts, what happens after you punch em' huh...yes thats right you get poop thrown at you...so you see this is how it goes: pay 5 bucks then you proceed to punch monkey in nuts then ultimatley this will equal to poop being thrown at your face...its all about cause and effect (dominos man....remember the domino effect)....i don't maybe its just me...but just go and do it man...for the love of GOD....just do it.
