Gauge faces?

I've been looking around for a way to change the gauge faces on my 81, but have found nothing. I have found a few for 84's though. Does anyone know if the 84 faces would fit on an 81? Or where/how I can change the faces on an 81?

Check eBay, someone is usually selling add on faces. Not sure if the S2s are the same as the S3s, but I doubt it.

the 84 faces will NOT fit. i know if you take the gauge apart, some graphics places can re-do them with plexi glass and a "sticker" with any design and color you want.

That's how mine was done, doesn't look bad at all. sorry can't give you any info on it, as it was done by the previous owner.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'll keep my eyes open, maybe look into how difficult it would be to swap my 81 cluster for an 84/85. Ahhhhhh............ never ending project. But I'm only getting one shot at it, so I want to do everything right the first time. LOL

you'd have to swap the whole dash out. the 84 cluster is more squared off. i did it to my car, its not that hard to do.

There used to be a guy on here that make gauge overlays. I think his name was Mark Perez, but I haven't seen him on here for a couple of years. Damn shame too. He had some nice stuff.

There was a thread about 1-2 years ago with someone doing that. I wish I could find it. They had templates where you print them out of a normal printer with special clear paper or something and just replace your stock gauges with them.
