gas pedal stuck?

i'm still having idle problems, but the main thing is it won't idle under 2,000 rpms. the idle adjuster screw is as far back as it can go without pulling it out! BUT!!!! when i take my foot under the gas pedal and pull rather than push the idles will come down. my gas pedal hasnt changed though since i put the new carb on. WTF!!!! could the throttle cable be too tight? i checked it out and it won't get any looser. damnit! hahahha help please!

your cable might be too tight or you could have a vacuum leak. I cant get my new engine to go under 2,000 RPM and I know I have a leak somwhere. Just exactly where, is a good question.
