Gas pedal connector parts broken?

So here's what happened. Got in the car this morning really early and as always takes a little while to get her started. I was pumping the gas pedal when suddenly I heard what sounded like something pop or possibly break. At first I didn't see anything that looked like it had broken off so I ignored it. Started pumping the gas pedal again and noticed that it didn't feel as firm, but really flimsy when I was pressing it in. Once I got the car started, I noticed that when I press in the gas pedal it seems like whatever spring or part it's connected to isn't releasing properly, leaving the gas pedal somewhat still pushed in and VERY SLOWLY releasing back to the top. I was able to drive the car already but every time I'm pressing the gas it's pretty much going on it's own and doesn't feel that great to have to deal with. If pictures will help, I'll try to snap some so you guys can maybe identify the problem. Any ideas would be great.. wanna get this fixed. Thanks!

Pull the air cleaner off and look on the backside of the carb. Check the 'teeter totter' and the main spring that has the black plastic cover. Download the factory carb manual and compare the diagrams to your's.

I will attempt to check that out soon. Not sure what you mean exactly by teeter totter but I'll take some pics regardless and maybe you can help identify. Thanks Tro

The "teeter totter" is for the factory nikki which you don't have so it couldn't be that. Glad you got it fixed
