gas in oil.
My SE started to develop this funny idling noise yesterday. It sounds like it was running on one rotor--real tinny sounding, almost like a lawnmower. I pulled the oil dipstick and the oil just ran off the dipstick. It smelled like gas. I know the 7 has been running real rich---a problem I'm still troubleshooting. But I never seen oil this thinned out from fuel. I hope I didn't do any damage to the apex seals, etc. I'm going to drain the oil and put new oil in. BTW--the oil was Mobil 1. Any other suggestions?

Agreed. Fix the 'flooding' issue and you'll probably also fix your 'gas in the oil' problem.
First think I'd check is the fuel injectors - when they get old, they will tend to leak down internally and may result in fuel bypassing the solenoid seals and spraying more than they should. I noticed the first problems with my SE injectors at about 150k mi, and sent 6 off to be cleaned, flow-tested, and balanced for flow. I got back 3 that were within spec, and 2 of those are still in the car running today (204k mi).
Once you get the hang of removing the Upper Intake Manifold and getting to the fuel rail, it's not that bad, just also get in the habit of testing the seals before you put everything back together (fuel pressure switch plug - green - at the AFM). This will save you from having to take it all back apart when you see gas pooling on that side of the engine...
Aside from that, have you checked/changed your air filter recently; it can restrict airflow and lead to over-rich conditions. Also, if your spark plugs aren't firing properly (old, corroded, etc.), it can lead to unburned fuel in the system.
Have a look at those things and then reply back,

Thanks guys for chiming in. I'm going to leak test the injectors, hopefully, tomorrow. I sent these injectors out to KG parts, and they only have about 100 miles on them. They came back perfect----even perfectly matched. I'm wondering if there was something that I did when I installed them into the fuel rail that caused them to leak. I lubed the O-rings well. Anyway, today I drained the oil and took out the plugs and cleaned them up a bit. It idled better, but the longer the car ran, the richer it got.
Also, I set the TB up according to the FSM. But after it kicks off of fast idle, the car stalls. The only way that I can keep it idling is if I take more slack out of the throttle cable, thus propping the primary throttle open a bit. Keep in mind guys that this is an SE with an S5 intake.
Lastly, I checked the computer for error codes---none at all. I'm hoping that a leaky injector is the culprit here, so I don't have to go back and troubleshoot again.
